Spiritual Connection

Nurturing the Crown Chakra

✦   Day 122: Spiritual Connection

Tending the Crown Chakra

Spiritual connection on the Reiki path is something very simple and, at the same time, something very deep. It does not mean having as many special experiences as possible or rising above everyday life. Rather, it means perceiving yourself as part of a larger whole and experiencing Reiki not only as a technique, but as a living connection. The crown chakra touches exactly this field.

The crown chakra is associated with openness, meaning, inner spaciousness and connection to the higher. When it is well tended, many people feel more silence, more trust and a more natural form of surrender. When this area is neglected or overstimulated, emptiness, spiritual inflation, confusion or the feeling of searching a great deal but truly receiving very little can easily appear.

Spirituality in the Reiki sense needs ground

Sobriety is especially important with the crown chakra. Spiritual connection is not the same as floating away. A person may speak many grand words about energy, light or consciousness and still be poorly grounded in everyday life. Here Reiki teaches something more mature: openness upward also needs coherence in the body, in the heart and in daily life.

That is why crown chakra work is especially healthy when it does not stand alone. Brow, heart and also the belly remain important counterbalances.

How you recognise spiritual connection

Not necessarily through visions or extraordinary experiences. Often this connection shows itself much more simply:

You become quieter without becoming empty. You feel guided without being passive. You can let something go without becoming indifferent. You sense more meaning without having to explain everything.

This form of connection is often unspectacular and, precisely for that reason, reliable.

Suitable treatment areas

Crown or crown area: as the main focus of this theme

Forehead: to maintain clarity and not slip into vague ideas

Heart: so that the spiritual opening remains soft and human

Belly: to stay grounded

When you work with the crown chakra, proceed gently. Some people react sensitively to intensive upper work. Then less is often better than more.

An example from practice

You sit quietly and place your hands first on the heart, later on the forehead and crown. After a few minutes you do not necessarily notice "something great", but rather more spaciousness, less inner friction and a quieter mind. That is often a very genuine spiritual connection. Not the spectacular, but the coherent.

If, on the other hand, you become restless, overloaded or unclear after such a treatment, this is a sign to ground yourself more strongly and bring the focus back downward.

Dai Ko Myo and the master symbol

If you work with symbols in the corresponding phase, Dai Ko Myo is the most obvious sign for this theme. It is understood as the master symbol and associated with the highest spiritual quality and maximum energy. In connection with spiritual connection, it can strengthen alignment with clarity, light and deeper connection. Precisely because this symbol has a strong quality, a calm, respectful way of handling it is important.

Spiritual connection and everyday life

An essential sign of genuine maturation is whether spiritual experience clarifies everyday life. Do you become more patient? More truthful? Less driven? Does your ability to become still increase without fleeing the world? If not, spirituality easily remains merely a beautiful concept.

Reiki helps make this connection close to everyday life. Not only in meditation, but also in walking, working, treating or being silent.

Practical examples

Before a silent meditation: Treat heart, forehead and then crown, so that the opening does not remain only mental.

When you feel spiritually dry or cut off: Work gently with heart and crown, without immediately expecting special experiences.

When you notice that you are too much "up above": Consciously end every crown chakra work with belly or feet.

Spiritual connection in Reiki is not a special state for rare moments. It is more like a quiet, reliable orientation. Tending the crown chakra then means becoming open without losing the ground.

"What is important for me today after reading this day?"

Your answer belongs in your personal Reiki journal. It grows with every day and stays with you alone.
