Reiki II - Okuden Deepening
Day 163 of your Reiki path

Sei He Ki After Conflict

Clearing the emotional echo before sending words after it

Aim of the Day

Clearing the emotional echo before sending words after it

✦   Impulse

Today the inner attitude comes before the technique. An old Reiki master would probably not ask about the technique first. He would look at your hands. He would notice your breath. He would sense how you are beginning inwardly. Then he would say: After an argument, the mouth is often quicker than the heart. Sei He Ki can reopen the space in between. That is the first trace of this day. Reiki II is not a collection of secret techniques. It is a training in serving visible responsibility with invisible means.

Symbols are not a shortcut past maturity. They show more clearly how mature the intention is. Today's direction is: Clearing the emotional echo before sending words after it. Do not take this sentence as a heading for the mind, but as a touchstone for practice. A symbol can gather power, harmonize feelings or connect across distance. Yet it remains worthy only when the person behind it remains free. Observe whether you are acting out of calm or out of the wish for a quick solution. In this way, a method becomes an attitude.

✦   Deepening

You can imagine this lesson as a room in which the smoke is first allowed to clear before anyone speaks. The image is not meant to decorate or distract. It is meant to remind you that Okuden often ripens through fine differences. One breath too early and you act out of habit. One breath later and you may realize that less is enough. In the second degree, the small becomes meaningful. Consent, timing, measure, rest afterward and intention become the real school.

Today's practice is simple and concrete. Wait ten minutes after a conflict. Treat the heart, throat and solar plexus with Sei He Ki before writing a message or seeking a conversation. Do not look for a spectacular sign. Pay attention to the quality of the contact. Does the body become calmer? Do the hands become clearer? Does more space arise, or more pressure? If thoughts come, let them pass. If an inner image comes, hold it lightly. If nothing special happens, you still remain clear in the form.

✦   Practice

The constriction today lies in spiritual ambition. With symbols, it is easy to feel more important than you are. You may think you have to help everywhere, send everywhere, clear everything everywhere. An old teacher would become strict and kind here. He would say: Not every need calls for your energy. Not every worry is your assignment. Not every connection may be entered into. In this practice, what especially protects you is this concrete form: Wait ten minutes after a conflict. Treat the heart, throat and solar plexus with Sei He Ki before writing a message or seeking a conversation.

An example from practice: A student wanted to send a long explanation immediately after a reproach. After a short Sei-He-Ki practice he wrote only: I need a moment and will reply more calmly. That was the more healing sentence. This example does not stand above your own experience. It only shows that Reiki II rarely remains abstract in real life. It shows itself in messages and appointments. It shows itself in quiet sessions, conflicts, follow-up questions and boundaries. It shows itself in the way you continue after a treatment.

✦   Example

If you work for other people, examine the frame especially carefully. Is there consent? Is the occasion clear? Is the duration limited? Do you know when to stop? If you work for yourself, the same respect applies. Your own inner being, too, should not be overwhelmed. This lesson makes one thing especially clear: Which sentence became unnecessary because you treated first? Do not let this question act as a judgment. Let it shine on the practice like a lamp.

After the application comes the real test of maturity. Do not leave an inner pulling behind after the application. Place your hands on the Hara or on the thighs. Feel weight. Feel the space. Feel whether you are still inwardly pulling at the person, the issue, or the result. If so, release the grip kindly. Thank Reiki, thank the symbols, and release the concern. Today's image helps with letting go: like a room in which the smoke is first allowed to clear before anyone speaks.

✦   Integration

Afterward, write briefly and truthfully. Note which symbol, which intention, which frame and which closing were present. Do not write an interpretation that sounds prettier than the experience. An honest sentence about your expectation can be very valuable. A long description of light is not automatically deeper. Today, what this practice brought forth may become especially visible: Wait ten minutes after a conflict. Treat the heart, throat and solar plexus with Sei He Ki before writing a message or seeking a conversation. Okuden needs this kind of honesty. It protects depth from self-display.

To close, take this question with you: Which sentence became unnecessary because you treated first? Do not answer immediately. Let it move through your day. Perhaps it will show itself the next time you reach for your phone. Perhaps before a message. Perhaps while drawing a symbol or in the silence after a session. Then you will recognize that Reiki II does not happen only during treatment time. It shows itself in the way you handle power, closeness, distance and responsibility.

✦   Afterglow

When you end this day, close simply. Bow inwardly to what you do not have to control. The symbols remain tools, not possessions. The energy remains a gift, not an achievement. Take today's direction with you in closing: Clearing the emotional echo before sending words after it. Your task remains simple: become clear, serve, let go.

  Practice
✧   Sei He Ki After Conflict - Practice  ·  10 Min.
  1. Sit in Gassho and allow three calm breaths to come without shaping the breath.
  2. Inwardly say: Today I let this lesson become simple and practical in my hands.
  3. Place your attention on your hands, your Hara and the space around you. Let the hands arrive where the body quietly says yes.
  4. If a symbol is appropriate, use it inwardly and quietly. If not, simple laying-on of hands is fully enough.
  5. Carry this practical trace into your hands: Wait ten minutes after a conflict. Treat the heart, throat and solar plexus with Sei He Ki before writing a message or seeking a conversation.
  6. Remain still. When thoughts come, return without harshness to breath, hands and body weight.
  7. Close with both hands at the Hara. Feel your feet and release the practice consciously.
  Meditation
✧   Meditation on Sei He Ki After Conflict  ·  12 Min.
  1. Close your eyes and imagine sitting in a quiet, warm room.
  2. Before you appears the theme: Clearing the emotional echo before sending words after it. Look at it without immediately making anything out of it.
  3. Inwardly place soft light on your hands, your Hara and your heart space. Let the light stay gentle, not glaring.
  4. Ask quietly: What does this lesson want to show me in practice today?
  5. Wait for an answer as a body feeling, an image, a word or simple knowing. Force nothing.
  6. Connect the answer with the title of this day: Sei He Ki After Conflict. Notice whether your body becomes wider or tighter.
  7. Bow inwardly, let the image dissolve and return slowly to the room.
What will I take concretely from this lesson into my next Reiki practice?

Once you are signed up, single days become a path: your progress is saved, your journal is kept, and the attunement days open at the right time.
