TIP
Grief needs space and time. This exercise doesn’t push it away – it holds you while you grieve. Grief is a sign of love. Allow it.
HOW IT WORKS
- Lie down or sit and hug yourself. Hands on your shoulders.
- Allow the grief to be there. You don’t have to “make it go away” or “think positive”.
- Say: “I am allowed to be sad. This grief shows me how deeply I can love.”
- If tears come, let them flow. They are healing water that cleanses.
- Place your hands on your heart and send yourself all the love you need right now.
- Say: “This too shall pass. But now, in this moment, it is allowed to be here. I hold myself.”
