Today you play with the space between your hands. This exercise is especially beautiful for beginners because it allows the hands to explore energy not as an idea, but as a subtle sensation.

Sit quietly and briefly rub your hands together. Then hold them in front of your body as if you were holding a small ball between the palms.
The fingers stay relaxed. The shoulders sink. The breath flows.
Now move the hands slowly apart and back toward each other. Not quickly. Truly slowly. Do not imagine too much; simply ask yourself: Is the space between my hands changing?
After a few movements, pause. Keep the palms facing each other. Perhaps a feeling arises as if something soft, warm or elastic were there.
Then shape the ball smaller. Then larger. Smaller again. Larger again. Let the hands lead, not the head.
Some people sense warmth. Others sense more pressure or resistance. Some describe it like two magnets meeting gently. Others sense tingling, pulsing or a kind of living air between the hands.
It may also be that you notice only your muscles or the warmth of your skin. That is not a mistake. Reiki does not begin with being able to distinguish everything immediately. It begins with honestly noticing what is truly there.
If you like, close your eyes. Many people sense more finely with closed eyes because the gaze no longer holds so much attention. Then move the hands even more slowly.
Afterward, place your hands briefly on your heart. Sense whether something there has become calmer or wider.
Your answer belongs in your personal Reiki journal. It grows with every day and stays with you alone.
Practice several times a day
Once you are signed up, single days become a path: your progress is saved, your journal is kept, and the attunement days open at the right time.
